Book cover illustration for 'Lillia' by William G.S. Bird. I was given a ton of artistic freedom for this cover illustration, so it was a lot of fun to create! I wanted to emphasize a dark mood here, so I went with a mostly desaturated palette. I also went with a less refined approach, preferring not to overdetail the image - sometimes less is more, and I feel that only added to the atmosphere I was trying to invoke. Overall, I'm quite pleased with the illustration and I hope you enjoy it as well!
